This 6 Leaf Dacromet Slipper Spring Set is designed to be a durable and versatile trailer part for a slipper spring suspension system on a Box Trailer, Boat Trailer or Commercial Equipment Trailer. Their Dacromet coating works in the same way that a Galvanised Coating would, Making them corrosion resistant and ideal for marine applications, or applications when your trailer might be exposed to salt, water, or the elements on a regular basis.
The slipper spring design has an Eye at one end of the spring while the other side of the spring simply has its "Tail" moulded in to a Slipper design that inserts in to your trailers rear Hanger. When upgrading or replacing your trailers suspension it is important to note that the Slipper Spring System works a little differently to an Eye to Eye System, but they both have benefits in different applications. Eye and Slipper springs are designed to be long wearing and durable, with less moving parts, making it last longer and less susceptible to wear and tear over time. Due to their design they are most common in Trailers that carry a similar load every time, like Boat Trailers, Flat Decks, and Trailers used to carry equipment. When using slipper spring suspension for varying loads, ensuring the load is distributed evenly is key to increasing the lifespan of your trailers suspension.
